Two Weeks In...
As I mentioned in my last post, we haven't noticed a lot of difference over the last week. From what I understand about the technology, this seems to make sense. Reid explained that because the technology works as a de-scaler, the hardness may in fact increase as the scale is removed from our pipes. This correlates with a new taste we've observed in the water, slightly metallic. We installed some filters on our water spigot and taste is now fabulous.
So.....the toilet scale hasn't seemed to have been reduced further (see photos and decide for yourself), there is still scale inside the kettle, I took shower flow measurements and they are still 1 gal/35 seconds and we're seeing scum again in the sink. Interesting eh? The bonus is still that the toilet bowl is MUCH easier to clean and the kitchen faucets don't seem to get as crusty as fast......
I think it will be neat to watch what happens over the next few weeks.
